Agates from theTraditional Mine generally have a gray exterior with red, yellow, orange, pink, or purple agate interior. A quartz center is also common. These agates make for great carvings and specimens and fetch a high price as a result. The mines have been closed since 2016 and agate collecting has been prohibited, so any rough or specimens are much less common to obtain.
